Every Jowissa with Sapphire Crystal: The 2026 Buyer's List
April 2026 · 6 min read
Sapphire crystal is the single biggest determinant of how a watch looks in five years. Mineral glass scratches into a hazy mess. Sapphire stays factory-fresh until you smash it on something specifically harder than a 9 on the Mohs scale (basically only diamonds). Most Swiss watches under $400 cheap out and use mineral. These Jowissa references don't.
Why sapphire crystal matters
Sapphire crystal is rated 9/10 on the Mohs hardness scale — second only to diamond. It will not scratch from keys, denim, granite countertops, or steering wheels. Mineral crystal (rated ~5) scratches from all of the above. Over a 10-year ownership window the difference is enormous.
Magic Sapphire J1.810.M — the namesake
The watch literally named for its sapphire crystal. Domed sapphire, deep blue-black sunray dial, slim case, alligator-pattern strap. The Jowissa to buy if sapphire purity is the priority.

On Jowissa.com look at the 'Specifications' tab — every Swiss-Made Jowissa lists 'Glass: Sapphire' or 'Glass: Mineral' explicitly. Don't buy a $300 watch with mineral glass when sapphire equivalents exist at the same price.
